I am looking to purchase 350D with warranty in delhi. Canon digi click zones have 47650 MRP which includes 1GB card. I checked the net and JJ Mehtas are giving the same with canon 2 year warranty around 43000. Is it possible to get under warranty stuff at those rates in delhi too?

Hmmm, not sure. Check with Alfa Photos and say I recommended you to ask them. Ask for Mr. Sanjay Magoo and see what he says.

Cheers, vikas.

Yes they sell with warranty. Prices are less than canon auth showrooms. Canon = 47650 in showroom with 2 year warranty. In his shot it was 45000 with 2 year canon warranty and bill.
But After one visit to chandni chowk, I would say never again!
Its hell on earth. I tried digicam zone also some time back, but I doubt he stocks additional lenses and all. Also his price is same to canon digi click zones,
Will see alfa photos.
On a sidenote, is there a JJMEHTA like store in delhi. They offer the best prices. Canon costs 44000rs with warranty and bill and they are a proper showroom with large collection of lenses etc.,

Hmmm dont know JJM but Alfa is a decent store as is digicamzone though never purchased anything from the latter. Regarding Alfa, dont know if they offer warranty or not so ask them, maybe they do. Else the option will be to get it from JJM I think. Let me know how it goes with Alfa. All the best on your first ever DSLR. On a sidenote, would recommend the 50mm 1.8 lens (Rs. 4500 or so) and the 70/200 f4.0 L lens (about Rs. 32K? I think and worth every penny).

Cheers, Vikas.

I will be hitting alpha in Palika bazaar as soon as bush traffic fiasco gets over. there I will handle a few cams
Gate no 6 hmm.
I am planning to get teh Tamron 75-300 zoom first if I go for canon, its a cheap zoom so good for a newbie like me.
As for the L glass its way over my budget, and the prime will also come pretty late(few months). Right now its gonna be the kit and the zoom if I go DSLR way.

Also I did not find anybody selling sensor cleaning fluid like pure isopropyl alchohol. There are lots of lens cleaning kits available but no sensor cleaning ones. I guess lens glass cleaning cloth should be lint free enough for the sensor, otherwise I have to catch somebody coming from the US

isopropyl alchohol would still be a problem though!

Can anyone refer me to a place for cleaning the fungus off my 70-200 f2.8 IS and 70-300 IS in Delhi. I already know about the Canon authorised service centres, but they take way too long. Are there any places other than the authorised service centres which does this?

Regards
Shantanil
