Hi All,

Need some comparison between basic Tele-Lenses
1. Canon 75-300 USM II
2. Tamron 75-300
3. Sigma 75-300
4. Sigma 70-300
5. Canon 55-250

I have Canon 450D. Which of the above lenses is the best choice? All the lenses are more or less for 12K. With a very limited budget I could find only these options. Please let me know if any other good option is also there in the market.

Out of the above list .....Just keep 2 shortlisted .

Sigma 70-300 APO ....excellent lens with a great optical quality and sharpness . But be- ware buy only the APO version which has a low dispersion glass element similar to ED in Nikon and L in canon

Canon 55-250 ;
Nice budget lens with a good optical quality and the biggest benefit is that its an IS ( image stabilized) lens .can u can easi;l y save upto 3 stops of light .

Difficult to choose out of the two but for me i wud have gone for the Canon one ,.

Hope it helps
Jatin

Thanks for your guidence.
I think it will be better if I can find some sample pics. I checked the sample pics of Canon 55-250 mounted on Canon 450D on dpreview.com and those were quite impressive. Need to check Sigma results also.
